Impressions after listening the speech of Chinese gardens
Last week, we listened to a speech about Chinese gardens by Mr. Wu------the famous landscape architect. He's known not only in China, but also in the world. Of course, he is the pride of all the Chinese!
After the talking, we learned a lot about the art of Chinese gardens. There're lots of traditional gardens, such as Liu Yuan, Ji Chang Yuan, Ge Yuan and Qu Yuan. They are the symbol of Chinese culture. How can our elders make those wonders? Well, let me tell you. The gardens look so great because the elders use plenty of techniques to create the garden and put their ideas in it. For example, Ge Yuan is a private garden, the designer used different types of rocks to represent the four seasons. Hills and forest in spring, the lotus pond in summer, the sunset in autumn and the snow lion in winter, they all image and lively. With ponds and trees, they look very noble and give people perfect feelings. Ge Yuan is another garden which has small area, according to it's feature designers put small bridges above the lakes in order to make the garden looks well arranged.
This presentation shows the most attractive things of Chinese culture, it leads us feel the beauty of nature as well. We also learned some spirit from thedesigner. As a poor artist, he didn't receive any formal teaching at fast, in stead, he met plenty of difficulties .However, he didn't give up because of his dream. After hard working, he achieved his goals in the end. Though he is successful now, he still improves himself by learning from others modestly.Like our study, we should never give up easily and we must try our best to achieve the dream. If everyone can demand themselves like that, I'm sure the future of us will all become as bright as we thought!
